Recently, at the Snapdragon Summit, Qualcomm officially announced the launch of two sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 flagship platforms: the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. Both platforms leverage TSMC's cutting-edge 2-nanometer process technology. The Elite Extreme version boasts a self-developed Oryon CPU, capable of reaching a maximum core clock speed of 5GHz. It integrates the Adreno 850 GPU and Hexagon NPU, offering significant performance enhancements of 13%, 44%, and 35% in CPU, GPU, and NPU capabilities, respectively, when compared to its predecessor.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 also employs a 2-nanometer process and is outfitted with a customized Oryon CPU, a new-architecture Adreno GPU, and Hexagon NPU. It supports the same AI, gaming, imaging, and connectivity features as the Elite Extreme version. Leading manufacturers, including Xiaomi, vivo, RedMagic, OPPO, OnePlus, Motorola, iQOO, and Honor, will be at the forefront of adopting these two platforms in their flagship devices, providing users with the next generation of intelligent mobile experiences.
