Apple's entry-level tablet, the iPad 12, maintains its exterior design but features significant upgrades in core performance. The device will be powered by the A19 chip, built on TSMC's second-generation 3nm process, offering approximately 50% improved CPU performance compared to its predecessor, the A16. It will also come with 8GB of RAM, support Apple Intelligence for local AI computations, and enhance multitasking efficiency and large model on-device inference. Additionally, the iPad 12 will integrate an N1 wireless co-processor and support Wi-Fi 7 for the first time, significantly boosting network transmission speeds. In terms of display, it retains the 11-inch non-full-lamination LCD design without 120Hz refresh rate support. Furthermore, the iPad 12 is scheduled for release in Spring 2026, with an expected starting price of 2,999 yuan.
