Market Insight: China’s Mainland PC Market Sees 11% Growth in Q2 2026, Though Full-Year Shipments Projected to Drop by 6%

According to the latest data released by Omdia, PC shipments across China’s mainland rose by 11% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2026, totaling 11.4 million units. Desktop shipments, in particular, surged by 42% to reach 4.3 million units, effectively offsetting the 2% decline in notebook shipments, which stood at 7.1 million units. During the same period, tablet shipments experienced a 13% year-on-year decrease, falling to 8 million units, as a result of sluggish demand and supply-side challenges. Looking ahead to the full year of 2026, Omdia forecasts that PC shipments in China’s mainland will decline by 6%, settling at 39.7 million units, while tablet shipments are also expected to drop by 10%, reaching 32.5 million units.
