On September 23, news emerged that the ‘Kunyu 1000’, a fully electric ultra-short takeoff and landing (eSTOL) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) developed independently by Hangzhou Dazhaofeng Aviation, successfully completed its first full-fledged test flight on September 22 at the General Airport in Etuoke Banner, Inner Mongolia. This milestone maiden flight signifies the technical realization and flight validation of China’s first ton-class distributed electric propulsion eSTOL cargo UAV, bridging the gap in the domestic market for ton-class fully electric ultra-short-distance cargo low-altitude aircraft. It offers an efficient, eco-friendly, and adaptable solution for a variety of applications, including intelligent low-altitude logistics, emergency supply distribution, and logistical support in remote regions.
