Apple is reportedly working on a smart home hub system, which is anticipated to be branded as homeOS. Drawing inspiration from the interface designs of iOS, watchOS, and tvOS, this innovative system will feature a familiar app icon grid layout, along with customizable widgets and clock faces, much like those found on Apple’s existing devices. It is set to come pre-installed on a dedicated smart home hub device, reminiscent in design to the HomePod, but distinguished by a 6- or 7-inch square touchscreen display.

One of the standout features of this new device is its built-in facial recognition technology, enabling it to display personalized information tailored to each user. At the heart of the system’s interaction lies Siri AI, which will not only facilitate seamless communication but also support a range of functionalities, including FaceTime video calls and home security monitoring.
