Apple is making progress in developing a new security feature aimed at curbing phone snatching incidents on the streets. In the most recent iOS 27.2 beta code, an anti-theft lock technology called 'AutoLock' has reached an advanced stage of development. This feature is designed to precisely ascertain whether the device is being forcibly taken by conducting a comprehensive analysis of multi-dimensional signals, including accelerometer data, the connection status of an Apple Watch (if paired), Wi-Fi network details, and location information.
