On September 16, a report from South Korea's display industry analysis firm, UBI Research, revealed that Apple is potentially planning to adopt OLED display panels utilizing CoE (Color filter On Encapsulation) technology for the first time in its iPhone Pro bar-style smartphone, which is scheduled for release in the latter half of 2029. This innovative technology does away with the polarizer structure, thereby boosting luminous efficiency, cutting down on power consumption, and slimming down the panel's thickness. Notably, CoE technology has already found its way into foldable screen devices and certain Android flagship smartphones, showcasing its versatility and potential in the market.
