In response to consumers' growing expectations for longer-lasting battery performance, Apple has incorporated silicon-carbon anode battery technology into its newest flagship model, the iPhone 18 Pro Max. This marks a significant milestone, as the battery capacity now surpasses the 20-watt-hour threshold set by international air transport safety regulations for the first time. Specifically, the U.S. eSIM variant of the device features a rated battery capacity of 5,567 milliampere-hours (equivalent to 21.75 watt-hours), whereas the European model, which includes a physical SIM card slot, offers a rated capacity of 5,391 milliampere-hours (or 21.06 watt-hours).
