Earlier, Apple found itself embroiled in a class-action lawsuit brought forth by U.S. users, who cited delays in the AI functionalities of Siri. In May of this year, Apple reached a settlement, agreeing to pay $250 million without admitting to any wrongdoing. Now, the official settlement website has gone live, enabling eligible U.S. iPhone users to file for compensation between September 21 and December 21, 2026. Each qualifying iPhone is anticipated to receive a compensation of $25, with a cap set at $95 per claimant. The final compensation amount will be adjusted according to the total number of valid claims submitted.
To be eligible, applicants must be U.S. residents who purchased designated models (not for resale) within the United States between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. This includes the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and models from the iPhone 16 series. The distribution of compensation will be on hold until the court’s final approval hearing concludes on February 24, 2027. Payments are expected to commence as early as that same year.
