On Monday, Samsung Electronics marked the commencement of a new venture with a groundbreaking ceremony for a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) production line in Gwangju, South Korea. The tech giant has earmarked an investment of around 240 billion won (equivalent to approximately US$173 million) to construct this state-of-the-art production line. Spanning an expansive area of 21,500 square meters, it will be situated within Samsung's existing Gwangju production facility. Operations on this line are slated to kick off in 2028, with a primary focus on manufacturing HVAC products for FlaktGroup Holding. Notably, FlaktGroup Holding is a German ventilation equipment firm that came under Samsung Electronics' umbrella through an acquisition last year.
