Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works recently announced new progress in the Vectis Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) program, unveiling a full-scale mock-up for the first time and increasing the number of prototypes to five to accelerate flight testing and system development. The first prototype is expected to conduct its maiden flight by the end of 2027. The Vectis features a tailless λ-wing stealth aerodynamic design, measuring approximately 10.4 meters in length and 11.6 meters in wingspan. It is equipped with a Williams International FJ44-4 turbofan engine and possesses capabilities for air-to-air and air-to-ground strikes, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and electronic warfare.
