Huawei Terminal and NetEase Cloud Music have jointly announced the release of the HarmonyOS beta version of NetEase Cloud Music for early adopters, now available on mobile devices. Users can download and try out this version from the Huawei AppGallery after updating their HarmonyOS to the latest iteration. This initial release primarily centers on core music listening functionalities, with additional features still in the pipeline for development. Concurrently, a plan to enhance the overall product experience has also been set in motion.

Previously, NetEase Cloud Music previewed (the term "Trailer" has been replaced with "previewed" for clarity and accuracy in the English context) its plans to launch a native HarmonyOS version. However, the adaptation process experienced significant delays. As a result, users were left with no choice but to run the Android version in compatibility mode, which frequently led to compatibility issues.

At present, the HarmonyOS ecosystem boasts an impressive collection of over 100,000 native applications. As of August 20, the number of HarmonyOS 6 terminal devices has surpassed 80 million, with projections indicating that the user base will exceed 100 million by the fourth quarter of 2026.

During NetEase Cloud Music's hiatus, mainstream music apps such as QQ Music have successfully completed their native HarmonyOS adaptation. The official launch date for NetEase Cloud Music's native HarmonyOS version is yet to be determined.
