The Ministry of Commerce, in collaboration with seven other governmental departments, has unveiled a set of implementation guidelines aimed at fostering the growth and enhancement of commodity consumption. These guidelines advocate for the swift standardization and broader adoption of products such as intelligent connected vehicles, smart home appliances, digital devices, and AI-enabled terminals. Concurrently, there is a push to accelerate the development of interoperability standards for smart homes and to elevate national standards pertaining to the fundamental communication protocols and data interfaces of smart terminals. The timeline for crafting and revising pivotal standards will be condensed, a mechanism for rapid response will be instituted, and proactive measures will be taken to prepare for the standardization and evolution of trendy toy derivatives. A strategy will be enacted to fortify the quality chain within key consumer goods sectors, underscoring the significance of quality backing and standard guidance, carrying out oversight and effectiveness assessments of standard implementation, and fostering greater harmony between standard certifications for products in both domestic and international trade.
