On August 26, Yonhap News Agency reported that the South Korean Navy had carried out maritime combat tests for a medium-sized suicide drone, developed by the Agency for Defense Development (ADD), on the amphibious assault ship 'Marado' in the southern waters on the 25th. However, during both launch attempts, the drone met an untimely end by crashing into the sea. Prior to this, the drone had successfully completed more than 30 ground tests, demonstrating stable performance throughout. Initial analysis points to abnormal equipment parameters, possibly triggered by the unique conditions of the maritime environment, as the likely cause of the failure.
