On August 26, the Information Office of the State Council convened a press conference centered on the theme “Launching the 15th Five-Year Plan.” The event provided an overview of the plan's implementation and the strides made in advancing new industrialization. Xin Guobin, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, highlighted several key initiatives. He emphasized the commitment to broadening the availability of premium consumer goods, fully implementing the special program of 'Artificial Intelligence + Products,' and honing in on critical areas of public concern. This approach aims to vigorously foster the growth of distinctive consumer goods, including health foods and sports equipment, while reinforcing standard-setting efforts in sectors like smart homes and products for the elderly. Moreover, there will be a concerted effort to elevate the global stature of Chinese consumer brands.

Throughout the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the ministry will spotlight the artistry and innovation inherent in renowned brands through the Four 100 Promotion Campaigns. These campaigns encompass 100 recommendation ambassadors, 100 micro-documentaries, 100 animated series, and 100 experiential routes. Additionally, to diversify consumer experiences, policy frameworks will be established to support the high-quality development of time-honored industries. The goal is to craft guochao (national trend) products that seamlessly blend practicality with cultural richness and to facilitate the widespread availability of premium consumer goods across various settings, including institutions, communities, business districts, tourist attractions, train stations, and airports.
