PICO-XR has officially announced that the launch of its flagship XR device, the PICO Space Pro, initially set for September 2, 2026, will be delayed until the fourth quarter of the same year. During rigorous experience validation, the company uncovered opportunities for optimization and opted to implement substantial software enhancements, which will now be integrated into the initial release.

To facilitate this, PICO-XR will expand its 'Pioneer Experience Program' in the coming months, engaging a broader user base to refine the product further. The company extends its sincere apologies to users for the inconvenience caused by this delay.

The PICO Space Pro, internally referred to as 'Project Swan,' draws design inspiration from industry leaders such as the Apple Vision Pro and Samsung Galaxy XR. It emphasizes "a lightweight gateway to a new spatial experience," positioning itself as a sleek and accessible entry point into immersive technologies.

As PICO’s first major release in two years, this delay underscores the company’s commitment to delivering a polished software experience. In today’s competitive XR hardware landscape, the focus has shifted toward system interaction and spatial computing capabilities, with software innovation emerging as a critical differentiator for product success.
