Recently, consumers across various regions have reported an alarming issue: their mobile phones have been automatically purchasing catering group-buying coupons in different locations via Meituan's monthly payment service during the early morning hours, without any manual operation. Shortly after these purchases, the coupon codes were redeemed by merchants in disparate locations. The financial losses incurred by the victims have ranged from several hundred to tens of thousands of yuan, with some individuals experiencing this issue multiple times. All affected consumers were using Android phones, had activated Meituan's monthly payment and password-free payment features, and reported experiencing phone abnormalities such as black screens and freezing.

In response, Meituan has stated that the users may have likely fallen victim to a new form of telecommunications fraud. The company has collaborated with the police in their investigation and has implemented multiple security measures to address the issue.
