Based on information from industry insiders, as reported by South Korea's IT media outlet Digital Daily, Apple contemplated incorporating China's ChangXin Memory Technologies into its new supply chain as a cost-saving measure. However, it encountered hurdles during negotiations aimed at further reducing procurement prices. Recently, in an effort to ease cost burdens for its upcoming iPhone and other smart devices, Apple engaged in discussions with ChangXin Memory Technologies regarding the supply prices of mobile DRAM, such as LPDDR5X. Nevertheless, its plea for a price cut was turned down. Reports indicate that ChangXin Memory Technologies' pricing is either higher than that of Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix or, at the very least, on a par with theirs.
