On August 5, the Ministry of Commerce released a notice announcing its decision to reinforce export controls on drone-related dual-use items destined for the United States. This move is in strict compliance with pertinent laws and regulations and is aimed at upholding national security and interests, as well as fulfilling international non-proliferation commitments. The notice clarified that exports to the U.S. of drones listed on the export control list, along with their crucial components and associated technologies, will undergo stringent case-by-case reviews. Moreover, measures designed to streamline the licensing process will not be applicable. This notice shall come into force immediately upon its publication.
