On July 22, Counterpoint Research released a forecast indicating that global shipments of foldable smartphones are expected to grow by 21% year-on-year in 2026. Driven by demand for high-end wide foldable devices, intensified competition among leading smartphone manufacturers, and Apple's entry into the market, the foldable screen market will continue to expand. Samsung is expected to maintain its lead with a 32% market share; Apple will capture 25% in its first year of entry; Huawei will account for 24%; while Motorola and Honor will hold 8% and 3%, respectively.
