On July 20, 2026, Samsung Display announced the full-scale supply of a new generation of tandem OLED panels for laptops, featuring a peak brightness of 1600 nits and passing the VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1400 certification. These panels are now being supplied in bulk to major computer brands. The panel utilizes a dual-layer tandem light-emitting structure and newly developed proprietary organic light-emitting materials, offering a lifespan more than twice that of traditional single-layer OLEDs. The Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i Aura edition has already been the first to adopt this technology, with brands such as ASUS, Dell, and MSI also planning to release related products.
