According to the most recent survey conducted by Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP), during the quarter that concluded in March 2026, a substantial 87% of iPhone users in the United States opted to upgrade from a previous model of the iPhone. This figure represents a three-year peak, showing an increase from 84% in 2025 and 85% in 2024. Conversely, the proportion of users making the switch from Android to Apple devices remained relatively low at 12%, which is a decrease from 14% in 2025 and roughly on par with the 13% observed in 2024. The remaining 1% of purchasers comprised individuals using feature phones, first-time smartphone buyers, or those falling into other miscellaneous categories.
