Apple is gearing up to introduce the most substantial upgrade to the iPad mini in the past five years. The upcoming model, internally codenamed J510, will mark a significant milestone by featuring an OLED display for the first time, promising to deliver visuals of superior quality. This new iPad mini is slated for release in the autumn of 2026. It is anticipated that the screen size will be enlarged to 8.7 inches, accompanied by narrower bezels, all while maintaining a body size that remains largely unchanged. Additionally, the new iPad mini is rumored to be powered by either an A19 Pro or A20 Pro chip, which would represent a substantial leap in performance. It may also incorporate vibration-based sound technology, a move that could enhance its water resistance capabilities. Given these enhancements in both screen and chip technology, it is plausible that the price of the new iPad mini will see an uptick.
