Recently, Apple has made a notable adjustment to its iPhone purchasing policy for its official sales avenues, effectively shutting down the much-talked-about "loophole for unlocked devices." Moving forward, when customers opt to buy iPhones through installment plans offered by T-Mobile or Verizon on Apple's official platforms, these devices will, by default, be tied to the respective carrier networks. Consequently, they will not be eligible to receive unlocked versions straight away. Prior to this change, only iPhones bought through AT&T's installment plans were bound by this limitation.
