On July 14 local time, drone delivery company Zipline announced an acceleration of its U.S. business expansion, bringing in Sendil Palani, former Vice President of Finance at Tesla, as Chief Financial Officer, Kevin Vosen, former Chief Legal Officer at Waymo, as Chief Legal Officer, and Allen Penn, former executive at Uber, as Head of Commercial Operations. The company revealed that the number of merchants offering delivery services through the Zipline app increased 13-fold year-on-year in the first half of 2026, with plans to launch new operations in Austin, Texas, and Cleveland, Ohio.
