On July 15, 2026, Samsung Electronics officially unveiled its Flex Titanium technology for the next-generation Galaxy foldable devices. This technology features a dual-layer structure consisting of a titanium alloy film and a titanium plate, enhancing screen durability, minimizing creases, while maintaining a lightweight and flexible design. The titanium alloy film is 20 times stiffer than polymers and only about one-third the thickness of a human hair; the titanium plate, processed with micro-patterned holes, balances support and folding resilience. The new architecture also integrates high-resolution displays and next-generation organic materials, optimizing picture quality and energy efficiency. This technology will debut in the next-generation Galaxy foldable smartphones.
