When it comes to purchasing digital products like smartphones, consumers frequently turn to videos or articles from renowned review bloggers to gain insights into the products' core functionalities. These review verdicts can significantly sway their buying choices. However, according to the 'Survey Report on the Influence of Third-Party Reviews on Consumer Rights' published by the China Consumers Association, a staggering 93.1% of 'third-party reviews' are suspected of having problems related to review standards. Specifically, 55.7% are believed to operate under models of 'commercial-review integration' or 'commercial backing for reviews'. Moreover, 37.2% of consumers have reported encountering quality issues with products they bought based on these reviews, and 35.7% of the reviews are suspected of being fabricated. These problems encompass a range of issues, such as the absence of standardized review criteria, the establishment of self-serving review standards, inconsistency in review standards, exaggerated promotional claims, fake reviews, and discrepancies between the products reviewed and those actually sold. Therefore, it is crucial for consumers to approach reviews with a rational mindset, enhance their ability to discern genuine information, and avoid blindly trusting review outcomes.
