On June 18, in a recent development aimed at addressing the intricate safety risks linked to smart products and the absence of a specialized, all-encompassing safety database within the sector, the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) rallied leading domestic research groups to confront technical hurdles. This collaborative effort has yielded a remarkable breakthrough in the creation of a quality and safety risk database tailored for smart products. The research team introduced an innovative safety analysis approach, pinpointing potential hazards across four key areas: human factors, product attributes, environmental conditions, and network information. They also devised a well-organized product safety standard framework. Presently, this accomplishment has undergone pilot testing and is poised to substantially boost the effectiveness of risk identification and emergency response mechanisms.
