On June 17, it was reported that XREAL recently unveiled its first lightweight spatial computing XR glasses, the XREAL AURA, and opened overseas pre-orders. Developed in collaboration with Google and Qualcomm, this product features a lightweight glasses form factor, delivering high-performance spatial vision and AI interaction experiences. Key features of the XREAL AURA include a 70° wide field of view, a weight under 95 grams, OST optical see-through design, multiple sensors on the outer side of the frame supporting hand tracking and 6DoF tracking, and a dual-chip split computing architecture. The glasses integrate XREAL's self-developed X1S spatial computing chip, are deeply integrated with Google Android XR, and are powered by AI support from Gemini. Built on the Android XR platform, millions of Android phone and tablet apps will be available for download via the Google Play Store on the launch day, while over a hundred apps specifically designed for XR are currently under development. The XREAL AURA is planned for release in the U.S., UK, Japan, Canada, and South Korea in autumn 2026, with subsequent expansion to more markets including Europe.
