Apple is gearing up to unveil a new MacBook Pro either later this year or in the early part of next year, marking the most substantial hardware overhaul in its Mac series to date. This latest iteration will, for the first time, come with an OLED display that supports touch functionality. To complement this, Apple will also refine the underlying macOS system to ensure seamless touch interactions. In a departure from its previous design, the new model will ditch the screen notch, opting instead for a punch-hole camera setup akin to that of the iPhone, along with incorporating the innovative 'Dynamic Island' feature. When it comes to core performance, the device will be driven by the M6 series processor, which is built on TSMC's cutting-edge 2-nanometer process technology. This places it a notch above the current M5 Pro and M5 Max variants. There's also speculation that the new model might be rechristened as the 'MacBook Ultra.' An official launch is anticipated in either October or November 2026.
