The global rollout of the Samsung One UI 8.5 system update is now in full swing. This system made its debut in South Korea on May 6, with subsequent expansions to regions including Europe and Hong Kong, China. The initial wave of devices to receive the stable version of this update comprises the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7, to name a few. Over the next few days, more Galaxy devices will be slated for updates, and certain models within the Galaxy A series might also be in line for updates in the near future. Eligible users have the option to install the update via the software update feature in their device settings. Users who are currently on the beta version will be presented with a relatively smaller update package. In contrast, those upgrading from One UI 8 are likely to be required to download an update package that spans several gigabytes. Given the phased rollout approach, it may take several weeks for this update to be accessible on all eligible devices.
