WeChat is presently in the midst of a grayscale testing phase for a novel feature known as 'Combined Payment.' In the past, when users transferred funds, they were limited to selecting just one payment method—either their account balance or a bank card. However, with the introduction of this new feature, users now have the ability to merge two payment methods. For instance, they can opt to pay using both their balance and a bank card, or even combine payments from two separate bank cards. At present, this functionality is exclusively available for fund transfers between WeChat contacts. Other scenarios, such as sending red envelopes or making purchases within WeChat Mini Programs, are not yet supported by this feature. Furthermore, only a specific subset of users currently has access to it, with the remainder awaiting subsequent updates.
