Apple plans to introduce a new feature called 'Create a Pass' in its next major iPhone software update, iOS 27. This feature will allow users to build and customize digital tickets, gift cards, and more within the 'Wallet' app. Currently, the 'Wallet' app is primarily used to access passes provided by third parties, but many services do not offer passes compatible with the 'Wallet' platform. To address this, Apple has developed a pass-building tool that enables users to generate passes by scanning QR codes or through customization, with the freedom to customize images, colors, and text styles. This feature is expected to be showcased at Apple's WWDC 2026 event in June.
