Joby Aviation Inc. plans to conduct trial flights of its electric air taxis between New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport and Manhattan this week, showcasing its quieter, zero-emission aircraft. This demonstration flight will mark New York's first point-to-point journey using an electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft (eVTOL). The trial flights, which will not carry passengers, will follow existing helicopter routes and last for ten days.
