On April 27, reports indicated that the domestic mobile phone market witnessed shipments of 21.15 million units in March 2026, marking a 7.1% year-on-year decline. However, shipments of 5G mobile phones surged to 19.667 million units, up by 1.3% year-on-year, and accounted for a significant 93.0% of the total. For the period spanning January to March 2026, cumulative shipments in the domestic mobile phone market amounted to 60.805 million units, reflecting a 12.7% year-on-year decrease. Meanwhile, cumulative shipments of 5G mobile phones reached 55.468 million units, experiencing a 9.1% year-on-year decline, yet still constituting 91.2% of the total shipments.
