The combined cost of Apple’s most affordable lineup of devices has, for the first time, dropped below that of a high-end MacBook Pro, drawing significant attention in the market. Taking the U.S. market as an example, the ten entry-level hardware products include: the iPhone 17e (starting at $599), MacBook Neo (starting at $599), iPad (starting at $349), Magic Keyboard Folio ($249), Apple Pencil ($79), Apple Watch SE 3 ($249), AirPods 4 ($129), and Apple TV 4K ($129). The total price comes to $2,510, which is notably lower than the starting price of $2,699 for the 16-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 Pro chip. Notably, the MacBook Neo is powered by the A18 Pro chip and, with a starting price of $599, stands as Apple’s most budget-friendly laptop to date.
