According to reports from foreign media sources citing insiders at Apple, John Ternus, who is set to assume the role of Apple's eighth CEO on September 1, 2026, has garnered widespread acclaim within the company for his decisiveness, which is perceived to surpass that of Cook. On April 20 (local time), Apple officially announced that John Ternus, currently serving as Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering, will succeed Cook as CEO, effective September 1, 2026.
