On April 21, 2026, Samsung Electronics unveiled that its SmartThings smart home connectivity platform has undergone an expansion, now encompassing support for IKEA products. A total of twenty-five brand-new IKEA offerings, encompassing roller remote controls, intelligent lighting systems, smart plugs, and air quality monitoring devices, have achieved compatibility with the Matter smart home connectivity standard. This advancement enables users to seamlessly link IKEA products to the SmartThings platform, eliminating the need for any supplementary setup procedures, and facilitates their integration with Samsung's array of home appliances.
