Recently, an overseas gamer found themselves ensnared in a scam while attempting to purchase an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor from an Amazon return warehouse. To their dismay, upon receipt, they discovered only a heat spreader cover, devoid of the actual CPU core. The official retail price for this high-end processor hovers around 4,700 yuan, yet the return warehouse offered it at a seemingly irresistible 1,400 yuan. Due to Amazon's return warehouse policy, which strictly prohibits box inspection prior to purchase, the gamer only uncovered the deceit after completing the transaction and opening the package. It's worth noting that several similar return fraud cases have surfaced on the Amazon platform in the past.
