Microsoft has confirmed to tech media outlets that it will be discontinuing the Outlook Lite app, which was launched in 2022, on May 26. This app serves as a streamlined version of the standard Outlook, tailored specifically for Android phones with limited storage capacity and for regions plagued by poor network connectivity. Initially, Microsoft had intended to remove Outlook Lite from the Google Play Store in October 2025. However, the company has now decided to terminate the service as early as next month. Following this discontinuation, existing users will no longer have access to its features. Microsoft is advising users to transition to Outlook Mobile. Upon logging in, users can view their original emails and other content, and the system will prompt them to download the standard version of the Outlook app.
