Hardware Unboxed released an evaluation report, conducting average frame rate tests on 12 games using the RTX 5090 graphics card at 1080p resolution for AMD Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 X3D processors. The tests covered three generations of architectures: Zen 3, Zen 4, and Zen 5. Among them, the Ryzen 7 9850X3D led with an average of 266 FPS, followed by the Ryzen 7 9800X3D at 257 FPS, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D at 233 FPS, and the Ryzen 5 5500X3D at the bottom with only 162 FPS, representing a performance gap of approximately 64% between the fastest and slowest. When switching to 1080p maximum settings, the CPU performance gap narrowed slightly, with the 9850X3D still leading at 203 FPS, the 9800X3D at 196 FPS, the 7800X3D at 181 FPS, and the 5500X3D at 132 FPS, reducing the overall gap to approximately 54%.
