On April 12th, overseas tech media outlet Mashable reported that the original Twitter platform is rolling out a new strategy to broaden its user base. This strategy involves launching a standalone instant messaging app called XChat. XChat boasts end-to-end encryption, is free from advertisements, and respects user privacy by not tracking their data. Beyond text messaging, the app also provides voice and video calls, file-sharing capabilities, the ability to create group chats, and functions for editing and retracting messages.
