Based on the most recent projected figures from market research firm IDC, Apple experienced a 9% year-on-year increase in Mac shipments during the first quarter of 2026. This performance notably eclipsed the modest 2.5% growth rate observed in the global PC market over the same timeframe. IDC attributes this remarkable growth primarily to the launch of the M5 chip-powered MacBook Pro by Apple at the close of the previous year.
