Since its debut on October 13, 2020, Apple's HomePod mini has not undergone a second-generation update for more than 2,000 days. This duration positions it as one of the products with a notably extended iteration cycle within Apple's hardware range. Positioned as a more affordable option compared to the original HomePod, the HomePod mini is designed to appeal to the broader market with its compact, spherical form. It supports 360-degree audio output and highlights its cost-efficiency and smart home management capabilities, all powered by the Apple S5 chip. In 2021, the HomePod mini underwent a cosmetic refresh; however, its fundamental hardware stayed the same. At present, the market anticipates that the upcoming HomePod mini will come equipped with an enhanced chip. Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman disclosed that the new HomePod mini has been prepared for release since the end of last year. However, Apple opted to postpone its launch to further refine Siri's personalized features and achieve more seamless system integration.
