On April 1, according to industry insiders, Samsung Electronics has announced a price increase for its foldable smartphones, attributing the move to escalating memory chip costs and volatility in the foreign exchange market. Specifically, the retail price of the 512GB variant of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 has surged from KRW 1.64 million to KRW 1.73 million (approximately USD 1,148). Similarly, the 512GB version of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has seen its price jump from KRW 2.53 million to KRW 2.63 million. Furthermore, the price tag of the 512GB model of the Galaxy S25 Edge has also been elevated, rising from KRW 1.63 million to KRW 1.74 million. Notably, the prices of the 256GB versions and the Galaxy S26 series have remained steady, unaffected by these adjustments.
