China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC) recently unveiled its domestically developed “Atlas” drone swarm combat system in a groundbreaking full-process live combat demonstration. This cutting-edge system showcases highly efficient swarm combat capabilities, with a single vehicle capable of carrying 48 fixed-wing drones. When deployed in tandem, two vehicles can sequentially launch 96 drones, achieving a remarkable rate of one drone every three seconds. The drones feature folding wings that rapidly deploy post-launch, offering flexible configuration options for launch types and sequences to adapt to diverse combat scenarios. Utilizing advanced swarm control algorithms, the system enables autonomous formation flying, obstacle avoidance, and efficient task allocation among the drones. Remarkably, a single operator can effectively manage nearly a hundred drones, significantly streamlining command operations and reducing workload.
