Google has rolled out the third beta version of Android 17, which has reached the platform stability milestone. Developers can now conduct final compatibility tests and submit adapted apps to Google Play. Beta 3 fully enables several desktop multitasking features, including Bubbles floating windows and interactive picture-in-picture. Users can open apps in floating windows by long-pressing app icons, and on foldable and tablet devices, they can also drag icons directly from the taskbar to create floating windows. A dedicated bubble bar has been added to the taskbar on large-screen devices for managing floating windows. Additionally, Beta 3 optimizes display consistency for external monitors and redesigns the screen recording toolbar.
