Recently, the hydrogen propulsion team at the China Aerodynamics Research and Development Center successfully developed the AEP100 liquid hydrogen-fueled turboprop engine and conducted comprehensive ignition and performance validation tests in a controlled ground environment. Throughout the testing phase, both the engine and its integrated liquid hydrogen fuel delivery system demonstrated stable, full-load operation, marking a historic achievement as China’s first megawatt-class liquid hydrogen-powered aeroengine met all specified performance criteria.
