On March 27, during the '6G Technology and Industrial Innovation Forum' at the Zhongguancun Parallel Forum, Qin Fei, the Dean of the vivo Communication Research Institute, emphasized that the linchpin for propelling 6G development is to pinpoint the genuine future needs rather than just chasing after speed. With intelligent agents rapidly merging into terminal devices, mobile phones are set to become a pivotal portal for deploying AI capabilities. Qin Fei is of the opinion that mobile phones will continue to be the heart of personal terminals for the coming decade and will be challenging to entirely supplant. He also divulged that vivo has conducted trials of intelligent agent functions but has refrained from an official launch owing to concerns regarding safety and compliance.
