On March 27, 2026, reports surfaced indicating that, owing to the worldwide escalation in memory prices, Sony is set to hike the prices of the PS5 Slim, PS5 Pro, and PS Portal models across Europe. In detail, the PS5 Slim equipped with a disc drive will see its price climb from 549.99 euros to 649.99 euros, the PS5 Pro will increase from 799.99 euros to 899.99 euros, and the PS Portal will go up from 219.99 euros to 249.99 euros. Despite Sony's prior efforts to stockpile DRAM memory, the robust sales performance of the PS5 has depleted its reserves, compelling the company to transfer some of these cost burdens to consumers. These price modifications are anticipated to be implemented incrementally, starting from today.
